First Day In Beirut

Palestinian Refugee Camp
Today I arrived in Beirut with the Nations United team after a flight from Toronto, that connected through Paris. It has been a very long day of traveling and then a full day in Beirut that has kept us awake for almost 48 hours. Looking forward to bed but seems jet-lag has surfaced as not quite ready to sleep yet.
Beirut is a beautiful city and this evening we went to Byblos for a walk, drinks, dinner and of course, sheesha! Byblos is also believed by many to be the oldest continuously-inhabited city in the world as it was founded around 5000 BC. I look forward to going back in day light for another look!
