- Once you have successfully changed your name servers, it will take some time but your parked domain page will be live with relevant sponsored results.

WordPress 3.0 is Released

Earlier today WordPress 3.0 was launched and made available as a free download, you can download a free copy via the link at the bottom of this post.
The major new features:
- A new default theme called Twenty Ten
- New developer API’s
- Simultaneous updates for plugins
- The MU and WordPress merger!
This new version of WordPress includes a much improved new default theme called Twenty Ten. Theme developers have new APIs that allow them to easily implement custom backgrounds, headers, short-links, menus (no more file editing), post types, and taxonomies. Developers and network admins will appreciate the long-awaited merge of MU and WordPress, creating the new multi-site functionality which makes it possible to run one blog or ten million from the same installation. This new version has seen 1,217 bug fixes and feature enhancements in total.
There have been several new releases of WordPress over the past year, WordPress 3.0 includes a lot more new features than with other updates and the development team, that now includes 218 developers, will be taking a break from development for a while to concentrate more on integration.
We’re going to take a release cycle off to focus on all of the things around WordPress. The growth of the community has been breathtaking, including over 10.3 million downloads of version 2.9, but so much of our effort has been focused on the core software it hasn’t left much time for anything else. Over the next three months we’re going to split into ninja/pirate teams focused on different areas of the around-WordPress experience, including the showcase, Codex, forums, profiles, update and compatibility APIs, theme directory, plugin directory, mailing lists, core plugins, wordcamp.org… the possibilities are endless. The goal of the teams isn’t going to be to make things perfect all at once, just better than they are today. We think this investment of time will give us a much stronger infrastructure to grow WordPress.org for the many tens of millions of users that will join us during the 3.X release cycle.

Stock photographs are images that can be licensed and used for certain uses. A number of people as well as corporations, such as publishers (of books, catalogues, newsletters, calendars, etc.) film makers, advertising agencies, web designers, visual artists, interior designers and various creative occupations take advantage of stock images. Working with stock images is undoubtedly faster and usually cheaper than employing a photographer to shoot specified photos.
Once you license your own photographs, you really want to understand these terms:
Royalty Free
By having a Royalty Free agreement, you (the photographer) can sell the image as frequently as you would like. The consumer pays a one time fee to make use of the particular image many times for many purposes, and for as long as he or she requires. In most cases, your Royalty Free license stipulates the number of times an image can be reproduced. The number of copies is termed the print run. If ever the user makes copies above the print run, they pay an extra charge for each additional copy. For that reason, publishers who may have large print runs (such as a number of magazines) don’t use Royalty Free images.
Rights-managed
“Licensed images” is a different label for Rights-managed. Using this type of agreement, the user may or may not possess exclusive rights to the picture. Exclusivity will be negotiated in the licensing terms. The consumer pays each time they use the image. There’s a time restriction to Rights-managed image licenses, so if exclusivity was part of the deal, you’ll be able to re-sell the particular picture after the time restriction has terminated, although not before. The fee is based on exclusivity, distribution, length as well as geographic area.
Editorial
“Editorial” describes subject matter within the photographs, and whether they may be shown without a special release. With no release from the actual subjects, you can use the photos solely for news or academic reasons. With a signed release, you may use the image for marketing or display it together with controversial material.
