After months of development, the Nations United Executive Lounge is here! The project was a joint effort between ptoone and Thexyz Network and operates smoothly as a members only website. As a member you can join an exclusive community of other members that have all been pre-screened through the Nations United verification process.

Membership is exclusive, who is it open to?

Membership to the Nations United Executive Lounge will be exclusive and limited. With a six thousand dollar annual membership cost it is also not a cheap ticket. This ensures that the community will based from rather affluent members and therefore add value to each membership.

How does one become a member?

To be considered for an invite you will first have to be invited to join. This can happen through one of two ways:

1. An exsiting member sends an invite directly to you from the Nations United Executive Lounge.

2. Click the DNS setting tab.
3. Navigate to Name Servers or NS Servers.
4. Change the Name Servers to the ones set by your domain parking company.
5. If you were to use Sedo, your name servers would be: ns1.sedoparking.com and ns3.sedoparking.com.
6. Don’t have an account with Sedo.com domain parking, click here to sign up for your free account.
7. You can also sign up for a free account with Google Adsense.

• Once you have successfully changed your name servers, it will take some time but your parked domain page will be live with relevant sponsored results.

You can also set a price to take offers on your domain name. You don’t have to accept any offer so it is good idea to be listed in the market place just in case any potential buyers want to buy your domain. Earlier today WordPress 3.0 was launched and made available as a free download, you can download a free copy via the link at the bottom of this post.

The major new features:

• A new default theme called Twenty Ten
• New developer API’s
• Simultaneous updates for plugins
• The MU and WordPress merger!

This new version of WordPress includes a much improved new default theme called Twenty Ten. Theme developers have new APIs that allow them to easily implement custom backgrounds, headers, short-links, menus (no more file editing), post types, and taxonomies. Developers and network admins will appreciate the long-awaited merge of MU and WordPress, creating the new multi-site functionality which makes it possible to run one blog or ten million from the same installation. This new version has seen 1,217 bug fixes and feature enhancements in total.

There have been several new releases of WordPress over the past year, WordPress 3.0 includes a lot more new features than with other updates and the development team, that now includes 218 developers, will be taking a break from development for a while to concentrate more on integration.

We’re going to take a release cycle off to focus on all of the things around WordPress. The growth of the community has been breathtaking, including over 10.3 million downloads of version 2.9, but so much of our effort has been focused on the core software it hasn’t left much time for anything else. Over the next three months we’re going to split into ninja/pirate teams focused on different areas of the around-WordPress experience, including the showcase, Codex, forums, profiles, update and compatibility APIs, theme directory, plugin directory, mailing lists, core plugins, wordcamp.org… the possibilities are endless. The goal of the teams isn’t going to be to make things perfect all at once, just better than they are today. We think this investment of time will give us a much stronger infrastructure to grow WordPress.org for the many tens of millions of users that will join us during the 3.X release cycle.
