Taking phpfox V3 for a test drive

For the past week or so I have been testing and upgrading a couple of sites the latest version of phpfox V3 release candidate.

The update process was relativity straight forward as long as you have knowledge of ftp and php you will be fine doing it yourself. I was upgrading from V2 on the sites I upgraded and had no issues except for a few missing database fields that were able to be to be brought back within the new admin cp via tools > counters.

I have noticed the speed of both the front end and admincp has been improved and navigation around both platforms is now easier. You will also notice by checking out the demo you can see the look and layout is now very similar to facebook. This is welcomed change as with hundreds of millions of people using facebook, new users will not have to get to know their way around on a new social network site.
